People struggle with a constant judging of themselves. Am I good enough? Does God want me to do more?
If you are struggling with these questions, it helps to find the source of your doubt. To discover who you really are.

The great teachers instruct us to move from the attachment of the material Ego mind of a separate individual to the spiritual mind. A Christ mind, which is a part of the great divine ocean of universal consciousness itself. The one.

All else is just changing the content as opposed to overhauling the software. We simply are not what we THINK we are. The issue with our unhappiness lies in our identity as a separate individual. With this comes duality and pain and suffering.

We have so many mental concepts that we cover our own true reality. I love Jesus and I love to show how he taught very similar teachings to Buddha and the great Eastern Hindu sages. No one really can tell what he did prior to his biblical ministry. He may have studied in India for all we know. What we only know for sure is that we are…

  • We are life itself
  • We are alive.
  • This is a celebration
  • Have you allowed for the true inner teaching of the divine within you exemplified by  Jesus to speak to you or are you being tortured by mental chatter?

As for Jesus?

  • He was to the West, the greatest spiritual teacher that ever lived.
  • Jesus taught that God is beyond the mind and that God is spirit, pure consciousness.
  • Can the mind  made me (EGO) , really be part of the solution?
  • To find deep truth and peace, stop random thinking and sit quietly listening to silence.
  • We must take the inner journey!

Look at this passage from Jesus :The light of the body is the eye; if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness.

(MATTHEW 6: 22-23)

This non-dual teaching is easily paraphrased as follows according to Pieter Schoonheim Samara  author of “The Self, Maya, and the Heart: The Fundamentals of Non-Dualism”

“The part of you that sees (the seer, one’s Self) is your true light. Therefore, if you hold to (i.e., abide as) the seer (subject-“I”) singlely or exclusively (i.e., relinquishing attention to thoughts) you will have illumination – or what some call the “enlightenment of the whole body”. This is the exact instruction given in the non-dual Vedanta tradition, with the same described outcome, as related above”

My true being is unborn and changeless. I am the Lord who dwells in every creature. Through the power of my own appearance, I manifest myself in finite forms. —Bhagavad Gita 4:5-6

This is the final extent and triumph of nondual thinking (advaita): God and the soul are united as one.

Does a bird have a name? Does it have a story and mental concepts? Does it leave a trace in the sky for that matter? Birds are free!

“I want to sing like the birds sing, not worrying about who hears or what they think”. – Rumi

Human beings have the ability to think like no other creatures. There in lies the great mental sufferings of attachment to the body and the five senses. This keeps us from realizing our spiritual nature.

Jesus knew it was hard for most to understand his teachings.Jesus was giving a mystical experience to his sincere disciples. To the multitude, he always talked in parables.

Jesus teachings were about rising above body-consciousness and surrendering the Ego or individuality of the small self to God. To die to this life to be born into eternal spirit.

Then Jesus said unto his disciples:

If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall

find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?

Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? (MATTHEW 16:24-26)

Our truth is in being present and stilling the Ego mind and constant grabbing of our consciousness from the thought of me , mine I. By realizing our source we return home. Behind the mind made  “I ” is the REAL I, the divinity within everyone.

Remember how happy we were when we were small children? What changed?

In the Gospel of Thomas 22 Jesus points to the paradox:

“Jesus saw infants being suckled. He said to his disciples, ‘These infants being suckled are like those who enter the kingdom.’ They said to him, ‘Shall we then, as children, enter the kingdom?’ Jesus said to them, ‘When you make the two one, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the above like the below, and when you make the male and the female one and the same, so that the male not be male nor the female female; and when you fashion eyes in the place of an eye, and a hand in place of a hand, and a foot in place of a foot, and a likeness in place of a likeness; then will you enter the kingdom.’” (22)

Is it not the incessant mind made me that causes the mischief? This is  attachment to our individual Ego identity.

If God is everything than we are to be the BEST VERSION OF OURSELVES while surrendering results to the higher power, that keeps our heart beating while we are in deep sleep at night. I liken it to not holding the bat-to-tight in baseball which restricts the smooth swing.

Prayer and an inner journey will show us the light.

See how much better life is when we act from the heart and not from the mind, of the self-made-me.

A spiritual practice of prayer, meditation , contemplation, and seeking God within will show us the way.
Constant seeking and knocking on God’s door will be rewarded. Faith is paramount.

What if we surrender to God EVERYTHING and then just give our hearts to life itself? Burying all the sorrows and joys in the eternal heart space? Would you lose control?

No you would not. Your control of life is an illusion. Your mind is covered with concepts and mind patterns

  • Carry out your responsibilities that are in front of you but don’t over-think.
  • Be the best version of yourself but know that in reality you’re not the doer.
  • Keep improving and polishing your personality if you wish but let go of the EGO.
  • God is living you, not the other way aound.
  • Invest in your spiritual growth and all positive areas of your life and allow God to be God.
  • Soon you will blend into the one.
